That's great to hear George, Unfortunately, I believe some other pairs are no longer producing with a couple of hens acquiring cock bird colours. Hopefully there are more than just you and PA producing them. Good luck with your next batch of eggs. |

Their are more out there than people will ever know I have 2 mates that also have them in small numbers and I know of a lady in SA and a french/canadian bloke in WA who also have a pair and trio respectively. I know PA has more than anyone in Australia, a hell of a lot more and is working with selected breeders {SFBBP} to build them up again. 2 of the breeders I mentioned are on the forum but will remain nameless by their choice. Unfortunately there are thieves out there some start off stealing pictures from our top breeders then could move on to stealing birds? Cannot be to careful these days with thieves like those around I have not heard of any hens acquiring cock bird colouring within the SFBBP but it can happen with hormonal imbalance. I do remember some clown coming on the forum claiming there was only 4 or 5 left in Australia blah blah!!! funny how some just get it so wrong. You know what they say "empty kettles make the most noise" George |

SFBBP Siamese FireBack Breeding Program, No idea why theres two B's but there you are. It was started by PA 15-20 years ago, but was named and coordinated by Steve ------------ of SA. It involves 9 breeders but not all have them George |

Thanks George. I wish everyone with them the best of luck. They're just too beautiful a species to ever lose. |
