The banned pied mutation is the hard work of our no1 peafowl and pheasant breeder and its very sort after by anyone that knows pheasant and rightly so. Having seen the pictures of the Yellow golden mutation by PA and the development of them through the banned pied we all need to thank him for his work AGAIN.

If it was not for the thieves out there and the 1 minute wonder kids the pictures would probably be in the general area for all to see, shot themselves in the foot there

They sure are 45P [smilie=a_holycrap.gif] [smilie=a_holycrap.gif]

We are lucky to have such a strong and diverse gene pool with the goldens and with many thousands out in aviaries across Australia breeding like mice its great to have a great looking ground fowl thats so common and cheap so anyone can have them. That strong and diverse gene pool is why the legend breeder PA can work with them to breed the mutations like the baned pied and yellows it would be impossible otherwise and we would be stuck with just the one golden and one mutation the dark throat :(

Well said Colin your right they are the most common and cheap which is good for everyone and 99% are pure out of the thousands out there thats for sure I rarely see a cross anywhere even on the net

Yep we have a good gene pool that will last us decade yet even longer I think theres no sign of reduction in the strength and diversity
