The gene pool would be as diverse as budgies and they breed like them

The colours are brighter but thats the camera used just look at the chest its glowing and the legs and way to orange so I used an image viewer and toned it down and yep exactly the same as all mine and the pictures above also shows like the lady amherst the goldens have not changed and the gene pool is super strong and diverse here

I read others think they are in danger and just want pretty birds rather than the true species and true mutations but don't know the difference hehehehe I guess they've been around chooks to long hey!

Good picture to show and yes the same as we have the colour would be a little better on wild fowl as it is on all wild birds compared to aviary bred but the base colours and patterns are identical to ours. Just reinforces what I said about the strong gene pool here its secure for many decades to come.

I was talking with a mate and he mention the issues with Geckos (little lizards) in captivity and the inbreeding and poor diets of some ect.. he feels they are a far cry from the wild ones and have lost so much colour and patterns already and very poor breeding. Poor little buggers.

The pheasant breeders keep the birds on track and breeding well ;)

Yes they can vary from pale yellow to an pale orange which is natural of course. The only exception is the mutations OF COURSE as their pigment is affected being a mutation so legs are much lighter. I know this is basic knowledge but there are halfwits out there ranging for a 10 year old with 5 minutes experience to supposed adults that wouldn't know shit from clay even if they ate it. Amazing how stupid some are  seriously stupid
