So if I decide to buy a few pheasants after the peacocks come I read I would be best to start with these reeves pheasants as they are so easy to breed

Maybe I should get the kids a pair of these to start them off with birds I was looking for something easy to care for and breeds at ease so my first though was those zebra finch but maybe these are better because they are even easier

I'd be concerned that the Reeves would just be too big for the zebs and stress them just due to their size.
They'd also pick off any finch fledglings or eggs given half the chance.

In a big enough aviary where the finches could get away from the pheasants you may be ok.

Another option is to make 2 wire baskets made from 1-2 inch square mesh. Fill one with brush for the finches to nest safely in.

Place the second one over a second feeder which has the finches' seed & water- this will keep the pheasants out & give the finches somewhere safe to feed.
