Sorry to hear about fiyero , If you have carpet snakes in the are , they may well be the culprit , I lost 3 really good sussex pullets to carpet snakes last year :cry: :cry:

there was something on telly last night about a snake that ate a maltese terrier whole apparently :shock: , i didn't see it but everyone was talking about it today..

Maybe the snake is still in there? Check the roof and rafters :shock:

If it escaped you would expect to see the spot where it pushed through the wire :-?

I've checked all inside the area, on top and around. No sign of a snake (that was my initial thought).
I've also checked for any feather and there are zero... i have no idea what happened...
I also have guinea pigs in there and none of them are missing etc, thought if something got in they'd be the first to be eaten.
