I saw this post on a US website

If only it were that easy!!!

It still amazes me how many people do not understand the birds they keep-or bother to find out the correct information.
(For those who may not know Javan Green peafowl (Pavo muticus) are different SPECIES to the Blue Peafowl (Pavo cristatus). They are not colour mutations of each other!! Therfore you cannot have a Javan green split for blue or a Blue split for Javan green. Any crosses between the 2 species are hybrids)

So does that mean that my mandarin ducks aren't split for Carolinas, or that my red jungle fowl aren't split for Ceylon/green/grey junglefowl???? Seems I was ripped of............ ;) :lol:
