I have read from George on TW that dark-throated Goldens are not dominant, Red Golden pheasants are though.

I have 2 female of the dark throateds and put a normal red golden with them and yes all the chicks are the normal red golden I have not yet bred from the chicks as they are still too young

I prefer the dark throat the colour is richer on the body and head
