Hey ladies and gent my first question and just a quick one how many peahens do you pair to your blue reverse pieds peacocks and still get good fertility.

I ask as I may have too many with the boys and they can't handle them all

3 to 4 is ideal, I did read and see pictures in TW of PA pens of reverse pieds and several pens had 5 and 6 reverse pied peahens some 95-98% white

With the pa reverse pied is it best to pair the most white peacock to the most white peahen or does it not matter because of the way he developed them the genetics side of thing, sorry not good with genetics

[smilie=thanks.gif] I have 3 reverse pied peahens with the boys so looks like they could handle 2 or 3 more not less :-D I can get 2 more from a friend because he has 2 spare he's not using this year as he has too many. I did ask Jason if he got them from peacocks australia and he said the bloke he originally got his from did get them from PA about 40 years ago or longer he could remember exactly

It would be over a dozen generations as it goes back 30-40+ years since he first developed them in Australia
