How is it possible that my peahen laid 2 eggs in the one day? I thought they only laid 1 eggs every 2-3 days and no I have no other peahen just 1

Is she the only hen in the pen? Are you sure that it couldn't be any other bird?
Could the egg have been laid earlier in a hidden location and only now become evident?

The only way I can see any hen laying 2 eggs in one day is if the first egg was retained in the far end of the reproductive tract (oviduct), whilst the next egg was being formed, then the second egg forced the first egg out as it was coming out.

The whole egg production process takes 20 + hrs to occur for each egg- most of this time is taken up in the shell gland (uterus) where calcium is deposited, so there is no way that 2 eggs can be calcified at the same time and laid the same day.

Can 1 egg get stuck and the next egg pushes it out?

Thanks for the advice, I only have 1 peahen and there are no other females of any kind in the coop. Also I know she laid them together because both eggs were together at the door and they were not there 5 hours earlier as I fed them

This suggests that the first egg was retained whilst the second egg was developing, then the second egg pushed the earlier egg out.

Out of interest, were both the eggs of good quality and size? Were the shells smooth or did they have pits or gritty bits on the surface?

Both eggs are the same size and look normal size and yes they were smooth shell as normal but a light colour difference as one was a little off white

That does happen but mainly with chickens [you can google it] I would not be concerned if its a one off and she goes back to normal egg cycle. I do wonder if the days before she laid were cool?
