I'm glad people have done well with them but I will still remain concerned until such time as they become freely available.

That is not the case yet.

Hopefully this will change.

No your right and I doubt they will be freely available any time soon way too many top level breeders on the waiting list before the joe blow public.

The Siamese Fireback Pheasant is the breed i want to one breed. I am far to inexperienced now but i think that if i breed other types of pheasant such as the Goldens, Swinhoes, Nepal and Lineated Kalij, Silvers and Edwards and get advice from you guys that i will be ready for the Firebacks.

Start with Goldens and Amhersts they are very easy to breed but you can learn a lot from them. Lineated and Edwards you won't get unless you have good experience and knowledge of pheasants and you know the breeders and they know you.

When I talk about breeding Firebacks,Lineated Kalij and Edwards Pheasants I'm talking 10-20 years down the track. I agree with you Muttpheasants I have Goldens now and feel that I know a decent amount about them, next step is Lady Amhursts which I am on a waiting list for, then a couple years after that Swinhoes etc

I'm not interested in pheasants because they look pretty, I'm interested in breeding the separate breeds and learning as much as possible from you guys.
