Today I rang Dave to see how the Peafowl were going as they are due for delivery on Saturday.

He told me 2 of the Peachicks had died overnight, he put the reamining 2 in what he called his chick hospital, he gave them this and that, can't quite remember what he said and why. I am not a religious person but all day since then I have been praying for their survival, not because I looked forward to having them, but because they are only babies and all babies deserve to live.

He said the little white one that is left seems the strongest, I haven't even seen them yet and already love them.

I don't even mind if I have to wait longer to get them, I just want them to be ok.

He let the adults out to scratch around as they have become quite tame and go back to roost at night.

He rang the vet and the vet said because of the cold, I know Dave has a great love of birds and poultry and will do his best to save them.

Can everyone say a little prayer for them.

Take Care All
Deb

” Lord in the sickness that has overcome me I seek your presence and call out to you for help. I surrender my fears and hopes to you and abandon myself to your will .May your will be done in all things and not my will. I cannot fully understand why I am called to walk this path but in faith I believe it will draw me closer to you as I learn to surrender myself more deeply. In these hours of trial I have nothing to give but myself and now I relies that is all you ever wanted from me. I trust you completely because you await us all with the unconditional free gift of eternal life. In Heaven the very best will be yet to come for each one of us. Amen.”

Brother Richard - Bruno

We will have a 3 minite silence for you chicks at our house and church will pray tomorrow for your chicks

God bless your chicks

Update!!!!

I rang Dave late this afternoon and the 2 surviving chicks are still going, he said they had dirty bottoms and whatever was the problem is coming out that way. He will check on how they are before he comes to the show tomorrow, but their arrival might be delayed.

I am glad they are still alive, and don't mind the wait.

Take Care
Deb
