Hi guys I would like to know what is the best age to leg ring my peachicks with the metal closed rings never done that before but just started keeping a record book like PA does and I think I read here he uses the metal rings

Use zip ties up to the age of 4 months then you can leg ring. Not sure about the metal as I use plastic but I would fit them when they are tight to go over the foot that way they won't come off

Metal rings are fitted at 8 weeks give or take a week depends on what type of peafowl

You can put the rings on at a young age you can use Colins idea [PeacockNSW] and use a little plasticine between the leg and ring to keep it on

This is what I was looking for I am using zip ties as of yesterday but not permanent so now I know what to do and when

What about the wing tags until they are old enough to then leg ring is that worth doing or not?

Willy, wing tags or wing bands are permanent so ne need to use leg rings at all.

I don't like the wing tags as I think they look ugly on the fowl
