We have free range peafowl, guinea fowl and ducks. They for the most part get along ok. The peafowl rule the roost though in any squabbles. We did have our chickens free ranging until the foxes kept helping themselves at night and they were ok as well. The rooster was a different matter. The peacock kept chasing and hassling him.

Just make sure you don't let the peahens sit on eggs outside of the pen as she will become dinner for a fox. I get dozens of calls every week from upset people looking for a replacement peahen, its the most common call I get in the breeding season so lock them all away for the entire breeding season if you want a chance of breeding them or collecting eggs

That was our worry but conveniently she started to make a nest in the shed and we helped her along. Once she started sitting the shed was closed up at night. Once they hatched it was closed up for 4 weeks until the peachicks were capable of roosting with their mother. It was a bit of a worrying time for a couple of weeks once we couldn't coax her back into the shed. She would roost up her normal tree and we would have to watch the chicks until they got up the tree in stages. Out of the 5 that hatched 4 have survived to 5 months so far. There has been a couple of scares with foxes during the middle of the day.
The Guinea fowls haven't been so lucky . One got taken the night before we were going to enclose her as we had only found her nest that previous day. There were 15 eggs and all of them were taken too. The good thing about the Guinea fowl is they do provide a good , loud early warning system. I'd also rather sacrifice one of them rather than a Peafowl. The Peafowl also predominately stay on the property and the dogs do the additional patrolling during the big danger hours of dusk and dawn.
