Mine are supposed to be hatching this weekend. They did all seem fertile when I candled them.

A check this morning shows at least one has hatched as there is half a shell next to her :-D

Have to try again tomorrow. The wife tried to take some today but the presence of a large Blue tongue sort of caused a bit of a commotion with the Peahen going ballistic and attacking it.

They are not free range at the moment but will be eventually. Last year 4 out of 5 survived. The shed they are in wasn't by choice, she built a nest there and at least it can be secured for a while but its really not suitable long term. I do hope to keep them in there a bit longer this year. The chicks do seem to learn how to fly fairly quickly but it was a bit nerve racking last year having to watch them each night struggling to follow mum up the tree to roost.
