We hatched out 3 chicks from an incubator 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately only one has survived but it looks to be a black shoulder which is the first time we have had something different.
Also one hen has hatched out 4 Indian Blues. Another hen has a batch due in the next few days so it will be interesting to see what we get as this is the hen that provided the eggs for the incubator.

Hi Guy's! Just wondering weather anyone has egg's or young yet for the season? We have 6 eggs from one of our pens, all eggs in incubator!

Looks like the one I thought would be a black shoulder could end up being a white. The initial colour on the flight feathers and back might have been nothing more than dirt. Unless it takes a fair while to show. "Harry" is now about 6 weeks. Also the other hen has hatched out 5 chicks with one being yellow and a couple with a fair bit of white on the flight feathers. Mum and dad do have a single white flight feather. Might have to try and post some photos.
