That's why we all love APF, it's such a great site :-D I think 1 vote per member is a good idea but I really don't mind because I love just looking at all the wonderful pictures :-D

We have enjoyed the Photo Comps since 2005 and have had little issues in the past but change can be a good thing so 1 vote per Member may be worth a go. We await Admin’s decision, drum roll........... :-D

Thanks
P.A

Admin and senior moderators should be commended and congratulated for being open to change and for listening to the forums members.

Very refreshing to see.

Thankyou for being open minded....others could learn a lot from this forum and its staff.

As long as enough members vote.

If only a handful of people vote and each votes for a different #1, a handful of photos will place equal 1st...with only one vote each. :-D

24 members have participated in the above poll so far. If each voted in the next photo comp there might be enough votes.

That idea (earlier in this thread I think) about using the Poor - Excellent scale in the Photo Gallery would make the process easier and allow everyone to offer their "score" for each photo.

Ok I entered a photo comp on Chooknet a while back.....they have 1 vote per member (IP addy) per day.

System worked beautifully with all votes in plain site for all to see....kept things fair and the amount of people that voted was huge BUT I think non members could vote as well because the comp wasn't a part of their forum.

Maybe emailing Sharon and asking how she set it up could be an option.

Yes I won 1st and 2nd BUT even if I hadn't won I would certainly participate again even if not entered.

Hello Members: thank you for your valuable input into your Photo Competitions. We have reviewed the input & have made the following change to The January 2009 Photo competition. We will "Trial" a ONE vote per Member for the January Comp, example below:

Jan10 - 1st
Jan105 - 2nd
Jan43 - 3rd

Each to be posted separately for counting. To be clear, a Member can only vote 1st once, 2nd once & third once.

We don't believe there is a need to hide the Members name as we believe our Members have & will always vote for their favorite Photograph. Votes have & will continue to be publicly viewable at all times as we believe it is unacceptable to hide any voting of this nature.

not a truer word has been written and that’s no 'Bogus'. I congratulate APF for being APF ;)

The open minds of APF are great....all members should be proud of what they have made APF become.
