Hi Noddy, Peter16 is spot on, Fowl Pox you will need to treat her with some Disinfectant/Antiseptic cream daily until it goes. This will help stop secondary infection and heal the wound. As a preventative you can use Vaseline on their Combs & Wattles when Mozzies are a problem as they are at the moment.

Thanks
P.A

Today's inspection showed that the larger greyish spots have gone and all that remains are the outlines of the marks . It almost looks like they were "scabs" that fell off. We will continue with application of "Repel-X" on her body and Dettol on her comb until Skiddy is back to 100% .... then maybe for a few extra days just to be sure....

Thank you to everyone for the advice.... :)

It is greatly appreciated :-D

Hi Peter,
I can report that Skiddy is back to her old self again, almost all signs of the grey marks have now vanished and her comb is now a much brighter and healthier looking red colour.
As an added bonus she has also starting laying again and whilst the size is down a little, her efforts are as regular as they were before....

Now if I only I could get her friends to produce eggs as well as she does...

Thank you so much for all of your advice and help and also to the other posters who have contributed...

Many is the time that Mrs Noddy and I lament that there is no donkey or goat forum similar to this site....
