Hi All

Wanting to know how, when and what to vaccinate for :-) I haven't really worried too much about it before however the chicks we bought last time that were vaccinated are all doing well and the unvaccinated chicks we bought (a different time) didn't do so well.

We don't have a local vet that deals with poultry so my questions is - can I do it myself? What should I vaccinate against, when, and how do I go about getting the vaccine?

I am mainly a backyard hobbyist however am just starting to get into breeding and showing. At the moment I have Dorkings and Aracaunas as my pure breeds and then a pen of assorted chooks (old) just living out thier days dh8989u9. I probably only have about 25 chooks at the moment however my incubater will take a 100 eggs [smilie=a_cookiemonster.gif]

Many thanks

Is it true all commercial chicks you buy are vaccinated at birth so I wouldn't need to do them myself
