OK, this is an update on my previous post and recent photos.

viewtopic.php?f=32&t=29988

It's cooled down this evening, mid 20's now, temperature reaching late 30's in the region and the girls won't even come out of their coop.

Can anyone please help with suggestions to erdacate these bugs?

Thank you, kindly 52.gif

Considering they are all on that tree, maybe there is something about that tree that is attracting them?

The beetles are also in the coop as per original post.

Are they anywhere else other than those two places? Maybe there is something like another bug that both the tree and the chook house have in common? Are they close together? Or maybe the bugs just happen to like chcikens and something on that tree. Wish I could be more help.

They are just clustered on the waterer and frozen water bottle.

I mucked out the coop again and dusted it with Pestene, that seems to have got rid of them for the moment.

Wow thats a lot of beetles do the hens eat them? You may have to call a pest control and ask them what you can use on them

No, the hens don't eat them, they are apparently toxic, they still haven't gone away.

That's a shame well I guess you may have to ask a pest contractor what to use on them
