 Post subject: Feeding corn

I have been told that corn is not good to feed fowls in summer can you tell me if this is true? Also if it is then do I not feed any or just a small amount?

I have not heard this so will be very interested to hear more comments..corn is in all the scratch mix i buy and there is no better fun than holding a large cob out for the girls to devour....except maybe digging for worms...

A small amount is good for them a large amount is not and yes it does heat them but if you use a mixed feed the ratio of corn is balanced

The mix I got yesterday has heaps of corn I now wonder if I should try taking some out?

Fresh corn is dirt cheap I pay $1 for 6 full unpeeled cobs
