My rooster has a coughs which he has had for months. His crowing is not as good but he is generally well apart from moulting. Any ideas ? |

Some sort of throat infection? have you looked in the Health section of the forum? |

Here is the link to the health knowledge base: viewforum.php?f=60 If its not to serious maybe you could try an over the counter antibiotic as a first line treatment and if you don't see an improvement in a couple of days or he gets worse, then take him to the vet. My local produce store sells Triple C over the counter. Works well for this type of thing. Hope he gets better soon

Betadine Sore Throat Gargle added to his water might work. You would need to check out the correct dosage though. |

I have had excellent success using Sulphur 3... Over counter but only from reputable stock feeders.. And increase probiotic yogurt..i put sulphur 3 in porridge with creamed corn so i could see when chook had eaten entire dose xxx good luck xxx |
