Why are lawn clippings bad? I put mine in there and they just rummage through, nibble any bugs or weeds etc and they kick the rest around, dust bathe in them and they are entertained for ages! |

Oh, and re the shell grit. Mine is in a separate dish and they help themselves when needed. The poor ex batteries ate it like it was chocolate when they first got here. Their shells were all puckered and wrinkly, now they are beautiful brown and speckely |
