I have had ducks for years and never a flea. Wild ducks could possibly get mites though and bring them into your flocks.

I should have said that wild birds can bring mites. Possums do bring possum fleas and they invade the chook pen.

I have never seen a water bird with fleas or mites. The fleas would have to grow a very long snorkle I think :-D
