The secret is to try to hand-rear birds in groups, not in isolation.
It is also important to socialise hand-rear birds with other birds whilst they are still young, again so that they still realise they are birds.
If you maintain contact with hand-reared birds you can still keep them tame whilst allowing them to recognise that they are birds, not little people covered in feathers.

Great advice, Parvo, a_bravo.gif , though the problem sometimes is we start of with one bird as a companion and then someone gives their unwanted bird to you.

I only dress my chooks for photo shoots, never got into designing and making attire for budgies or cockatiels!

That's exactly why Dude doesn't like other birds.... because he doesn't know he is one... he was hand raised and with other birds when i got him but i don't know if he was raised with other birds while being hand fed... he lived with me for a year and then i got another bird thinking he needed some birdy company while i was at work or away from home.... until i got the other bird he hadn't ever seen another bird... so of course he doesn't like the other bird because he still isn't sure what he is and would much rather people company....

hahahaha, dudes cape was for halloween pet shop shoot fundraiser thing... he was also a pumpkin... :-D

unfortunately i don't have a pumpkin one... lost all those photos when my computer crashed and was replaced... i had the cape one uploaded on facebook so took it from there, but didn't have a pumpkin one uploaded.... was very cute though...
he didn't like dressing up by the end... he got over the costumes pretty fast ! lol.
he's a sweet bird and would let you do almost anything to him if it means he gets more attention....
i could just squish him he is so darn cute. wee.
