Sure do...what do you need to know?? Have hand-raised plenty of Lorikeets.

How old is it??

It has full feathers and everything. The beak is still black but there is a hint of red in it. I was wondering can I feed it the same food as my Indian ringnecks?

In a word NO!!!

Ringnecks are seed eaters an Lorikeets are nectar eaters.

Lorikeets like a little seed as a treat but as for full diet the lori will perish.

Lorikeet food is available from most pet and produce stores as either a wet or dry mix.

By the sounds of it your guy is still pretty young so will need to have some wet mix twice a day as well as dry mix all day. Can also feed fruits such as melon, grapes, apple, banana etc etc including native flowers that have NOT been sprayed with chemicals BUT no citrus, avocado, meat or lactose products.

There is heaps of info around on keeping lorikeets and a quick google search will certainly assist you.

Make sure as with all animals a plentiful supply of fresh water is always available.

I notice your in Sunnybank..there are some pretty amazing bird shops around you from memory so go and have a chat with the staff...but basic lori wet and lori dry will be all you really need as well as flowers and fruits.

Be aware they are messy birds so cover wall behind cage if possible.....

Lorikeets make sensational talkers so be careful what you say in front of or within earshot of it as it doesn't take long for thme to pick up words. Mine had a vocab of 200 words including noises such as wolf whistle and phone ringing.

Would hate to think how many I hand-raised when I had my pet shop

Why would you want to handfeed a bird that can already feed itself?
