I will get a picture of my 2 up when the sun comes out.
I do have a question,

We had one for about 4 weeks then bought it a mate and they immediately hit it off, and lately they have been showing particularly advanced signs of affection ( ;) ) towards each other and the both spend a lot of time in their nest box but they dont seem to be building a nest.
I have been providing them with coconut fibre and other branches/twigs, but they are not interested

any ideas? (FWIW this has been going on for about a month)

They might be both boys.

So,if they are not making a nest they are not ready to rear little ones yet.Maybe when it gets warmer they will.

Peter same sex lovebirds will mate...2 of my princess boys use to mate until I finally found a hen.

You can sex them with your thumb between the pelvic bone....hens are wider. My budgies are on eggs at the moment but I'm not expecting anything from them.Like rose said maybe when it warms up again.

I have a pair of Fisher love birds and they behave the same as b&P's but only one bird exhibits the male position for mating. I put a nest in and they just take the lid off and play in it.
I guess they are both boys as well.
They were given to my son by a breeder in Brisbane and was assured they were a boy/girl pair. thinkerg.gif
What age do they start to lay eggs? maybe mine are just too young I'm still hopeing they're a pair.
