let me answer you...

firstly, its incredibly unlikely that the egg will hatch. i doubt very much you have the perfectly required temperature and humidity that is required to keep the embryo alive.

secondly if it does, by some absolute fluke of nature hatch, it sounds likely the day old chick will fall onto the floor of your "lizard pen" where it will no doubt be devoured (depending on what lizards you have) or die from the fall, the cold, or any combination of the above.

thirdly, if by chance you have the egg secured in some comfortable little nest safely placed above a light high in your "lizard pen" and your day old chick is indeed a finch - then you have no mother finch to feed it. most finches feed their young regurgitated termites and other insects rather than seed.

in short, finch breeders can't even hand raise finch chicks from eggs.
