That is a nice collection, pleased you got Goldens as they are beautiful birds and they go well with Budgies and parrots.

Well here is my list of birds....not quite as exotic as some but here goes.

Princess Parrots (blues and greens) 9
Zeb Finches ??? 30
Cutthroat finches 4
Harlequin Masked Doves 4
Budgies 2
Canaries 10
Cockatiels 4
Jap Quail ?? 20

Think that is everyone but could have missed someone along the way

Wish list; Breeding pr Major Mitchells. Breeding pr Gang Gangs. Neophemas for the indoor patio aviary.

It's worth noting that 90% of my aviary birds are rescue birds from private homes that no longer wanted them for varying reasons.

Good job with rescuing birds, b&p! Do you advertise for people to contact you if they have unwanted birds?

Deb :-D

Thanks Deb,

I ahve advertised but Petlink webmaster being the fat**** he/she is removed it and told me if it went back up I would be banned from posting

I try to advertise where I can but it is hard and a lot of ppl either let them out of their cages/aviaries or they end up at RSPCA or AWL,where most I think would come to an untimely death unless possibly and Alex or an Eccy or something interesting.

There are birds sitting in a number of RSPCA shelters around the country atm that could be rescued for around a few dollars.

Sebastion

PS 6 of my Princesses were rescues I paid just over $200 for including transport from CWest Vic. 2 of them are h/r babies (well young adults now). If I didn't nab them they were headed for a shelter..right place, right time it seems AND it kept the colony together which is made up of 4 adults that have been together for over 5 yrs.
