After i had looked at all the images it was a lot clearer which ones were dead and i could actually see the viens breathing so to speak and the peeps bobbing up and down (that was day 7) was quite amazing to actually see it.. I didn't candle them again as that was enough to put my mind at ease i did however go down and listen to the eggs the day they were due and heard them all sqeek'n and tapping in their eggs.

But i still left the ones i thought were dead just incase i was wrong.

I'd say if you know that they are definatly dead then remove them, but if your not sure then leave them.. ;)

Someone else can prolly advise you more as i'm still really a novice..

No smells yet, but my concern is if any bad ones are there and they explode.

My weak stomach and my patience couldn't cope with a cleanup while trying to maintain warmth for the remaining eggs.

Mate pick each egg up and give it a 'gentle' shake, if it sploshes around it's no good ;)

I never candle eggs :)

Just gotta be gentle. Like don't shake the hell out of it or anything.

People prolly say not to do it but it works for me. :-D

Ya can get to tell a lot of the time if the eggs is any good by the way it rolls.
If it wants to kinda float when ya roll it, there is a big air sack in there and no good, if it heavily rolls it's more than likely viable. Towards hatching time the eggs move themselves a little

You get to pick up things as ya get more experienced with your specific bator

Yer like wait a couple of weeks into incubation and after you candle them if you choose to candle. Don't shake em when ya get em lol :-D

And i've gotta emphasixe to be extremely gentle if ya do

EDIT-If you're not comfortable giving them a little shake then please don't as i realise that the majority wouldn't do this but as i already said, it seems to work for me :)

Some people candle eggs from under their broody, but I don't feel the urge. I figure she knows what she's doing.

It's my incubator I don't trust. ;)
