I want to send some eggs in August to a friend in tassie but I have no idea how to pack them now I have fund this information but what do you think?

eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed inside an egg box. The egg box is then wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in polychips inside a cardboard box

Would that be ok?

That would be fine. Just don't go overboard with the sticky-tape to hold bubble-wrap around the eggs. I have accidentally cracked eggs trying to cut the sticky-tape and bubble-wrap off the egg. Didn't blame the sender but they were a bit over cautious.
Cheers Buzz

I have had eggs sent to me before that had cotton wool in the bottom of the carton with each egg individually wrapped in bubble wrap with extra cotton wool or wadding over the top so that the carton is snug ie no rattling then the whole carton was wrapped in wadding and placed in a box. Don't be under any illusion that Aust post is gentle with parcels even if they are eggs.

I have found it best to wrap each egg in tissue. One tissue at a time, usually two wraps gives a good fit in the carton and prevents movement. Then wrap the carton in bubble wrap and put in a box small enough to prevent movement.

I have had the best results just buying a cardboard post box and then cutting cardboard dividers to separate each egg. Place a layer of bubble wrap in the bottom before the dividers. Wrap each egg in tissue so they are firm. once finished place another layer of bubble wrap on top and tape the box shut. I have sent over 100 eggs this way and never had one broken.
