Has anyone bought a sportsman incubator on this site.I am very interested to see if other people have had the same sort of experiences with the Temperature and humidity as I have.Problems with
The recommended temperature being to low,
The recommended humidity being to high,
Spikes in temperatures
or any other problems that anyone has had and how you may have got around them.

I have looked a few times at this brand but to date can't afford one but did find what looks to be a genuine review you may like to read

GQF 1502 Sportsman Incubator
Product Rating:
Pros: Dependable heat, continuous operation, consistent hatches, excellent factory pre-settings, digital heat control, wafer backup.
Cons: View through door should be standard, not an accessory. Needs master turn off switch.
The Bottom Line: Instead of running several small table top units, consider upgrading to this 198 chicken egg capacity cabinet incubator. Best unit for the advanced hobbyist. Accommodates eggs from Quail to Emu.

Mine only has the wafer and keeps very reliable temperature. I set it so the average is 100 oF
This year I just turned it an and have not readjusted it.

The humidity is the only think I have been fiddling with. I am now keeping the water tray with water in it all the time and not changing anything at hatching. The stable humidity is working well and I am not getting the sticky chicks or dead in shell I was when I was increasing humidity at hatching, for each batch each week.

I am not the only one having issues with the incubators.I know of 4 others all having the same sorts of problems. After sales service what is that.Hold you of till 12 months is up with any excuse and then dont want to know. What a joke.I now am going somewhere else to get parts and change things and all is much easier all round.

aftersales service has been great
they replaced the parts when they stopped working and
sourced parts for me after the warrenty ran out (parts that dont often break so they dont stock )
but i have had great service
where did you get yours from
