Hi Tahir

I read this thread every day about your chicks.. I've been working lots latley so haven't had a lot of free time to be on APF.. :lol: some days it takes an hour or so to catch up on the days i've missed..

Your chicks look like they are doing very well, i look at the photos when you post them in the gallery, they look very healthy, and a of course really cute at this age... ;)

It wont be too far away before you are selling us light sussex chicks that you have hatched.. :lol:

maybe they will breed this season coming up, maybe ;) and i'll be able to sex them for you too ;) i might sell them for about $6 from day olds to 3 weeks old :-D

You never know i may just get some of you too... ;)

I'm sarting to know how to sex them myself ATM. Out of my pekin chicks it loooks like i have 4 girls and 2 boys, they are only 3 weeks old but you can see by the way they are feathering up what sex is what.. I'm very happy about only having 2 boys..

well there's nothing much to it, it just has to do with the growth rate of the wing feathers, the hens will have a lot faster feather growth and the roo's have a very slow growth in the wing feathers

yeah, just, but not much ;) one of the hens has a couple of really small black dotes on her back :-? is it normal :?:

Yep and will possibly get more spots depending on how good the line is. That's not saying at all that you don't have potential show birds, it just depends how they colour up over the next few months andhow much the spots fade.
If you have a look at Ians breeders in his pics in the gallery, it will give you a pretty good idea of what you should be looking for in your pullets/hens.
