Hi All,

I am in the market for an automatic turning incubator and am wondering which is best or which you have had most success with; the Bellsouth 100, the Hova Bator 1622A or the Janoel model available on eBay? What are the pros/cons for each model? I am also open to suggestions on other reasonably priced incubators.

Cheers, Cam

And to eliminate the risk of getting a rip off Janoel, I have found a group out of Melbourne that sells the genuine Janoel model. It costs almost $100 more than on eBay but it's better than getting a product that I can't get assistance with if issues arise. They also sell replacement parts.

The Bellsouth is Australian made.

As much as I try and buy Australian Made products, in this case I am more concerned in purchasing the better incubator that has the best hatch percentage and brings out the healthiest chicks and ducklings, regardless of where it comes from.

Could people please share with me their views on these incubators? Success/horror stories?

Cheers, Cam

All incubators should be standard auto I think and digital readouts too

A local breeder has the Bellsouth 100 manual, he prefers to turn the eggs and interact with them.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I work two jobs, one as a casual, so I can be called into work at anytime meaning that I might have difficulty regularly turning the eggs by hand, so in this instance I find myself agreeing with FowlMan.
