TODAY!! I have twins! Soooo exciting.
I have one egg left, but I don't think it's going to hatch, I candled it a few days before lock-down and couldn't find any movement.

One egg started pipping last night just before I went to bed and this morning was a little white poult. So I missed watching that one hatch.
The second chick had started pipping mid-morning, I had to go out for a couple of hours, little dark poult when I go home. So I missed watching that one hatch too.

But I am absolutely chuffed with my two babies, thank you so much for your help and support, all this waiting is well worth it in the end!

Ash time now to now you just have to come up with 2 names

Day three and they are both doing really well. Looks like one is a bourbon red and the other a buff.
They have grown so much already, so hard to believe that three days ago they were stuffed inside a little egg.
Names will be tricky, of course not sure if they are male or female, so will have to come up with something unisex. Otherwise end up with a boy named Sue.

It has been a real experience, my first time ever hatching anything, absolutely appalling hatch rate (2 out of 14), but maybe something to do with the eggs being posted, as none of the ones under the turkeys came to anything, so can't just blame it on my ineptitude. But I love my little peeps and might even have another go at hatching next year.

Actually I think I've got the bug, but with seven young 'uns in the brooder now, it's about all I can cope with at the moment, so I am putting the incubator firmly away in storage to stop myself rushing out and getting more eggs.

Thanks for holding my hand through this, I love the fact that I can come to this forum and chat with other crazy bird people. Other folks just don' get it
