I helped a gosling out once and almost lost my arm in the process as mum was not happy with my help

I tried but mine dies soon after, can I ask what temperature did you have the brooder at?

At first the brooder should be the same temp as the incubator about 38deg

Okay so i was googling helping chicks out and came across this video, it goes for about 10 minutes, but it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I watched in complete horror as this woman helped the chicks out.

I honestly didn't think you were suppose to do this, but most of the comments about what she did fully supported her......you have got to see this!!!

Never use a sharp knife like that wow very silly and they were away from heat far too long. I think she got impatient waiting for them to hatch and she got luck this time but she should have left them longer to hatch on their own I think thats an example of unnecessary intervention from someone impatient

I found it disturbing she was only concerned in filming than doing the right thing by those poor chicks I bet they died. I agree with looloo WAY to long out from the heat needed.

My opinion only =

The woman that did that film clip ought to be reported to someone – no idea who – but she should be reported =

Everyone here = DO NOT take that womans advice and DON’T do what she has done = she did only get lucky that time = how many times has she not due to HER impatience!
