,I've been following your journey and I did ask you a question but never got an answer 
Sorry Chicka-Dee, I completely missed that question. It was a kids' toy storage bench off dealsdirect.com.au for about $50 - we cut the corner out and screwed on an A4 piece of perspex (about $5 off eBay) while the chicks were little, then took the perspex off and added a ladder when they were a bit bigger so they could access heat as they wished but weren't stuck in the box all the time.
