Hey
I want them to lay eggs as I always have volunteers for broodiness
Will try the Vinegar but it happens I just ran out
Will normal White Vinegar work too?
Thanks

sidesplit.gif why do you want to pickle them sidesplit.gif

Ah ha ha ha sorry, couldn't resist, you crack me up!
:?: [smilie=a_hrm.gif]
Not having a go!!!

I don't know what it is about the apple cider vinegar but it's got a lot of " properties" that help. I think normal white vinegar has been too processed & refined, so no Chookie I'd stick to the ACV [smilie=a_goodjobson.gif]

Cool thanks [smilie=a_goodjobson.gif]

:( Quite bad. They are laying very well now though( thanks for the tip :-D )
But non of my chooks are going broody!
I'm considering getting some hens that are very broody normally. Any advice?
In other news, I am probably not getting those eggs from soozorps. I have been faced with a lot of psychical pain and trouble lately, and haven't been with my beloved chickens, I am not really well enough to be breeding hardcore. I will keep the Lav Pekins ( Can't get rid of my babies! [smilie=a_cookiemonster.gif] dance1.gif )
When I am better ( about a year or so) I will, but not at the moment :(

wave.gif Chooklover,

So sorry to hear that you have been quite unwell and that your recovery will be slow. My best wishes for a speedy recovery.

As far as broodies go, my silkies are champion sitters. They will sit on nesting material only no problems at all. They will squirrel away everybody else's eggs and have a nice temperament when sitting. No pecking the hand that feeds them [smilie=a_rolling.gif] .

That is not good news about your health. Very sorry to hear you have a long road to recovery ahead of you.

Do you get to cuddle your chooks? They give you peace when you need it and you need take your mind off something. I recommend you do this lot over the coming 12 months.

What eggs were you getting from Sue? And no, don't get rid of your babies.

Get well soon Chookie

Hi
Thanks for thinking of me.
I was getting Lavender Orps and something else which I can't remember....hmm....
I do cuddle my chooks they make me feel better but I am sick of being sore  oh well......
I can't get rid of my babies! I would sooner give away my right arm!
Speaking of babies, I have found one of my Lavender Pekins were sitting on some eggs. 4 are fertile and 2 of them I reckon will hatch in a few days. They will be my first babies of this season. I'm so excited!!!! woohoo4

Sorry that you are unwell chooklover101 :( , chooks have magical mystical healing powers.

Hugging my chookies always make me feel better, especially after a day in hospital!

gluck.gif with getting better and your hatching.
