I am having a shocking time with my incubator. Since the end of last year, I have had no turkey poults survive. They develop and then die in the egg, or they hatch and die within a few days. The quail are the same but the ducks do a lot better. I have cleaned the incubator with no effect.
Any ideas?

The diet is the same as previous years. There could be a problem with humidity as I had the incubator reconditioned about a year ago. However, how could that be a reason for them dying after they have hatched out?

I agree with Turkey_Talk that diet is the first consideration. I know that you say they have the same diet as previous years and guess it is a breeder ration but is it possible that you got a dud batch of feed that is perhaps stale? Or perhaps seasonal conditions have meant that there was less green pick available.
Vitamins are critical in producing a good healthy hatch and there is some research that turkeys require larger amounts of vitamins than chooks - particularly vitamin A. These best all round source of vitamins is green feed.
High humidity might also cause embryos to die at a late stage or to die soon after hatching.
Another possibility, particularly if humidity is high and ventilation is bad is the fungal disease aspergillosis which can enter through the egg shell.
A hygrometer or wet bulb thermometer would help a lot as would fumigation of the incubator before the next hatch.

I think the lack of green feed and high humidity could be the problem. The paddocks have been down to almost dirt and I dont trust the reading on the humidty meter. I had another cheap humidity meter in the incubator but I dont trust either. Thanks for the advice.

Yep I think diet also I had similar issues with some guineas eggs a few years also and when I improved the diet like adding greens ect.. the hatch and survival rate when right up, doubled actually
