Now all I have to do is wait and see how many hens to roosters I ended up with. Is there a certain ratio with such a big brood, or just luck of the draw like every other birth?

I hope you have better luck than me with the last 2 lots of chicks where 75% were males, not happy!

Can a hen be off her eggs for 15 mins while she is half way through the sitting on the eggs?

I think thats ok but not sure about pure bred chooks as all mine are cross bred
