I've seen one little chick today.... hope they'll be a few more????
thanks for the support everyone - I feel like noone really gets the excitement and I'm branded the mad chicken lady :-( day 22 tomorrow

1 smallish coop and a large backyard with struggling grass

2 australaups (30 weeks and laying), 2 rhode island reds (30 weeks and laying but Lucy died Jan 2013)
2 new Rhode island reds (16 weeks and now doing fine)

3 chicks today day 23 and she, s still sitting all day - I assume I need to remove the old eggs now or she'll neglect the 3 she has?? Day 24 surely means no more chicks??
