Post subject: | Power out for about 3 hours - HELP |
Hi I set some eggs in my incubator a week ago and then last night the power went out. Went to bed about 9ish & then woke up at 12:30am to my husband trying to put the flick the switch for the power to go back on. I went and felt the eggs and they were cool to the touch. Now I have no clue as to whether I should bother waiting another 2 weeks to see what comes out...if anything. Has anyone had this happen to them before? If so, how did you fair? Cheers Chick-Dee |

Bill wrote: Depends on how close they are to hatch as to how tolerant they chick is to temp fluctuations Thanks BillThey had only been in for a week and bit by the second blackout. I've just taken 20 out of the 40 that were in there, as nothing seems to be happening with them when I candled them last night. I don't know if that's from the low fertility from my rooster or from the blackouts So.....when you say "how tolerant the chick is..", when are they more tolerant, and when are they less tolerant, to such events Bill?
