When you count the days do you include the day you put them in the incubator or start them count the next day

From the following day it take several hours for the eggs to heat to the right temp and begin incubation |

I am feeling a little silly as the first time I used the incubator I counted the days from when I candled them so I was shocked when they hatched so early but it was not early after all felt very stupid when I read the forum and realized my mistake |

Can guinea fowl eggs hatch at 18 days? some of mine have chips in the shell as of 1 hour ago and to me looks like they are going to hatch? |

Yes they can if its very hot for the last few days then they hatch early I have had it happen last year and this year |
