Hi new to the forum I have started recently with some waterbirds and 2 of them are the Rouen Ducks which I feel is my calling so looking at the different variations they come in and would like to find out more information on them and what is readily available in colours and sizes such as if there is a bantam rouen? I do love some of the colours I have found on the internet not to sure if they are readily available here in Sydney I have seen the pictures of Pastel Rouen Blue Rouen http://www.ashtonwaterfowl.net/images/rouen_blau.jpg http://wassergefluegel.npage.de/rouenen ... arbig.html http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Duck ... ouens.html Are there more colours? |

Shouldn't be to hard to produce the blue or apricot homozygous blue just start with Swedish Blue duck over a rouen then work back with inbreeding and if a few years you should have good quality blue rouen |

In America they have Black, Blue, Fawn, and Pastel varieties and as mackay ducks wrote we can too with a little effort If you do then start with the blue gene and from that will come your fawn shades |
