Is it better to have 2 or 3 pairs of appleyards all together in the same run or pair them in individual runs. I want to keep the colours coming especially the blue and fawn so bit worried by mixing them I will get a mixed colour ducklings

I will appreciate your thoughts on this please

I have mine together and they do better than a pair especially the ducks as they are not constantly harassed by the drake

If you mix the colours up then they will never breed true to thier colour again as I believe

NO...there is only 1 standardized colour for the silver appleyard breed

however...specialized breeders do have some colour variations
blue and butterscotch

a young blue silver appleyard drake can been seen here

we suspect 'aboutducks' has a different breed to what the title of this thread suggests,,but we'd like to be proven wrong on this front, so how about some pics of your "appleyards"???
