I have just started with breeding the black indian runners and my knowledge of the colour is limited as I have spent the better part of 28 years breeding I-R's in Apricot, Fawn, Trout, Blue Trout, Apricot Trout & White so a new colour for me. Any useful tip for an old bugger would be nice

Have you looked at the watervales they may carry the genes? I will ask my mate he has over 60 watervales on his farm and they breed better than blow flies

The watervale is a fake breed that do not exist its just a gene of the cayuga ducks and some rip off breeders called them by another name 'watervale' its all bulldust.

I have got 4 black runners so far I will stick with those I think and use the blues in the genetic makeup

If the blacks are not related then you should be right to get the colour established gluck.gif
