During the last mouse plague we used one of the old bath tubs we have for the ducks, filled it to just under half with water and smeared peanut paste around the side just out reach of the mice it seemed to work well, it caught approx 300 in a week.

If you're interested you can Google up a ton of stuff. Search "Bucket Mouse Trap"

Has anyone tried the max mouse baits and do they work? Are they safer around the chickens than the pellets?

My Uncle doesn't have any poultry, so I would NOT recommend using this near your poultry as I would NOT want anyone's poultry eating baited rodents.

He has recycled a honey bucket and converted it into a bait station by cutting a hole in the lid and filling it it bait.

This is Kookie, who just moved in and likes to catch mice! A natural and effective form of rodent control!

Nice pictures, the only problem is they cannot catch enough the break the breeding cycle and the number of mice can grow very quickly
