Great when yr partner supports you hey!!

These sheds will probably end up being something the rest of us will be in awe of.

soozorp,
I would be buggered without him that is for sure. At the moment I am having back problems again and he has been good. Surgery is getting a lot closer I feel. To much pressure on nerves. He is designing my pens and giving me a lot of support. We refuse to give up.That is to easy. When I disappear he knows where I am. In my chook pen somewhere. He rings and checks that I am ok. Can stay there for hours if left alone. I just love them,Oh yeah and hubby too.I had better not forget him.

Mummaroo, I sympathise as I went through a horrible time until Mr. Andrew Graham in Cairns operated and fixed my back, and did an amazing job. Ten years since the operation and I enjoy a normal life with no restrictions.

Light exercise and stretching will help enormously. Perhaps you have a Sports Physio you can get to who can teach you some basic exercises to stop it 'biting' you, as it is like having a pet crocodile - you know its going to bite you, you just never know when.

Sorry for 'off topic' - I hope this helps.

Thanks Geoff,
I have pysio now and do daily exercises for it and it does help. Yes it is like having a pet crocodile. My husband had surgery 2 years ago and now leads a normal life. Leo Zellar in Towoomba did his. That is were I will head when the time comes.

Hi Mummaroo,

wow 40 pens that sounds great and to have a hubby into poultry as well that's a bonus.

I took over two calf pens in my hubby's calf shed they are 12 by 10, with slatted flooring which i covered with shade cloth , then a bale of baily straw. There was water allready there ,calf feeder which automaticly refills which is very handy. I would suggest with your set up to invest in these as it makes life easy. Having the shade cloth on the floor makes easy word of cleaning out the straw.

You have just blown me away with your whole set up. Good on you

Sharon
