Do you want just the A frame water proof or do you want to water proof surrounding areas? With our A frame for the boys we have just put over some clear plasic that keeps water out but lets light in during the day. That could work and if you wanted to make it more permanant you could somehow attach it too the top of the A frame so you could roll it up or have it down as you choose?

Then there is the other option of waterproofing surrounding areas you could put in 4 posts in the ground and attach a tarp to it and there you have something that acts as shade and water proofing? Good for summer and winter?

Thank you, kindly 52.gif ILoveMyChickies, for the suggestions, I like the idea of the clear plastic. We had a small tarp over the top of the Aframe and the neighbour's complained and said looked "unsightly",though they liked the Chook Mansion.

I will ignore your comment Mr. ww.

Fair enough PP.

Tell the nosy neighbour, if the tarp looks unsightly to stop peering over the fence, that should fix her problem.

Hello PP,

I am happy to help out and am used my hubbies power tools in the shed. If you need some help to turn over the A frame to put the wire underneath just let me know as I have done it on the boys A Frame. I am currently converting a desk into a smallish coop. Will post pictures when I am done.

I understand your odd sense of humour, it's like my uncle's. When Boss Chookie was sick last year, he said to warm her up in the oven with some potato and pumpkin! [smilie=a_holycrap.gif] [smilie=a_holyshit.gif] [smilie=a_holycrap.gif]

We took the tarp down when the boys left, that's why I am think of something more aesthetic and pleasing to the eye.

I was joking about the uncle. I was serious about the nosy neighbour. You're legit now, tell her to push off.

I agree to tell those neighbours to stick it really. If you decide you want a bright pink part with green, purple and orange huge polka dots on it then that is your choice! Not theirs! I hate people who stick their nose where it shouldn't be stuck.

As Chickababe said, we will totally come over too help if you would like. Was there anything else you wanted to do other than waterproofing?
