I saw the topic of coop heating so it inspired me to stop looking and ask about these heater mats http://www.bitsforpets.com/habistat-hea ... -2067.html for the roost area only I only have a small roost so 2 of them may do the job but its is a waste of money and power and also would they work for chick broodings

I think the heater mats are good I have a large one for my ducklings at night and they all sleep on it like an electric blanket. I am yet to work out how much power they use but I think its only minimal or similar to a light globe

Seems like they work good in the brooder situation for some people and not others so a little confused may just have to try one and see. Thanks eddie

They are cheap enough to try 1 and see if you like it
