It looks beautiful! Lucky Peas! Very very well done, i loved the idea of having the pipes over star pickets, really clever :-D

Next we'll need pics of the kids -in- their pen

Thanks Alice. The pipes over the star pickets was born out of not wanting to have to dig big holes for wooden poles. We are not sure how long we will be living here, so I wanted something secure but easily pulled apart.

Big white plastic poles isn't the best look, but does the job.

Now we need to landscape it a bit to make it more interesting for them. It is pretty boring down there at the moment.

Any suggestions for plants and bits & pieces would be appreciated.

Deb :-D

I just break off branches and put it in the pens, I also put logs and rotting wood with ants, bugs and termites in them so they can try to find them in the wood.

Great, thanks. We do have plenty of rotting logs AND termites here (unfortunately!). We actually have termites in some of the hardwood posts that make up the yard. Any idea of what to treat them with that won't hurt poultry?

Pour kero on them in the post but the nest will be around somewhere and it is that you want to kill. If it is away from the peacock pen you can break it open and use a termite killer chemical. You will be looking for a hard mud looking mound on a dead tree stump or something like that.

Thank you CL. I can't see any nests around yet, but will have a better look. I'll get busy with the kerosene in the meantime. :-D
